Fall Harvest Vanilla Spice Pear Butter

Our fall harvest vanilla spice pear butter is a deliciously rich and flavorful spread made from ripe pears, infused with warm vanilla and aromatic spices. It captures the essence of the season, with a smooth and creamy texture that pairs perfectly with toast, pancakes, or as a sweet addition to your favorite fall recipes.

- 8-10 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Peel pears.
Chop and core pears.

In a large saucepan, combine the chopped pears, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.

Stir well to combine.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the pears are tender and the mixture has thickened.

Use an immersion blender or transfer the mixture to a blender to puree until smooth (optional, if you prefer a smoother consistency).

Return the pureed mixture to the saucepan and simmer for an additional 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pear butter reaches your desired thickness.

Remove from heat and let the pear butter cool completely.

Once cooled, transfer the pear butter to clean, sterilized jars and seal tightly. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
